The county fair is a huge event down here. Kids get off from school the Friday before and many children participate in the 4H events, showing their animals. We got a sneak peak before the fair opened, we went to preview night to avoid crowds. Peter saw many cows, pigs, goats, a steer and sheep. He tasted his first official fair food, cheese fries, and of course he rode some rides. The Naval Ordinance Technical Division has an attraction at the fair, so Jeff and Peter got to play with a robot and sit in a Hummer. We spent a small fortune, glad the fair only happens once a year.
